Flash Card
Caster

The Academy library has been overrun. Every spell you cast is one of your own flashcards: answer fast and it hits harder, miss it and it comes back until you know it.

A fight in the library: the wizard faces a slime that will attack for 5, with spell runes below.

How a turn works

Turn-based, one thumb, about fifteen minutes a run.

I.

Read the enemy

Every enemy shows its next move. Attack, block, or drain your focus first.

The Librarian Lich boss fight, with the wizard's spell runes listed below.
II.

Answer the card

Tap a rune to flip its flashcard. A fast right answer empowers the spell.

Casting Fireball: the card asks for the capital of Albania with four choices.
III.

Build your run

Win relics that reward how you answer: streaks, speed, or playing it safe.

A treasure room offering three relics: Overflowing Inkwell, Ink Ward and Reading Lamp.

Bring your own deck

Studying for a test? Play your own cards. The game is a spaced-repetition scheduler in a wizard hat.

  • Paste a list, or open a CSV or Anki text export.
  • Missed cards come back within a few questions until they stick.
  • Your progress on every card carries over from run to run.
  • Or start with World Capitals, Spanish Basics or the Chemical Elements.
The Decks screen with three built-in decks and an import box.

A real roguelike

Knowing your cards matters, but so does how you play. Choose your path, plan around enemy moves, and build a run that fits how you answer.
